Geobike, aplicación móvil como fuente de información para la movilidad segura de bici usuarios en la ciudad de Bogotá

Abstract

The use of bicycle by the people of the Bogota city has increased significantly in recent years, this due to the multiple benefits it offers, such as improving the health of bicyclists due to physical activity, decreasing the times of travel of the routes that people take, reduction of economic costs in displacement, all these factors improve the quality of life of people. There are other factors that affect the mobility of people when they do it on a bicycle and it is the insecurity that can occur in the city of Bogotá, where there has been an increase in theft and robbery incidents of bicycle users in the period that includes 2015 to 2020 where several of these incidents result in human loss. Currently, there are few sources of information that allow bicyclists to identify unsafe areas or routes in the areas of the city of Bogotá. Likewise, it is unknown what the safe areas and places of interest such as CAIS, bike parks, Cycle routes among others that are available and available to people to have a safe route. This is why it is necessary to rely on the technological tools that are currently available to support to a certain extent to inform people who want to use the bicycle as a means of transport safely. The purpose of this project is to implementation of a functional prototype that provides information of interest to biciusers for safe mobility within the metropolitan area of Bogotá City.
