Resumen
The atmosphere of a city is affected by different pollutants (pollution, noise, waste, propaganda and wastewater); the amount of waste generated in Bogota has turned the capital into one of the most polluted in Latin America. This contamination present in our environment causes different public health problems (respiratory, stress, insomnia ... etc.) An alternative to mitigate this problem of pollution is the home-use practices waste (gray water and organic waste), which are the most waste generated in a home deployment. Urban organic solid waste constitute about 70% of the total volume of waste generated, for this reason it is important to seek a comprehensive output that contributes to the proper management of these, enhancing the final products of these processes and minimizing a large number of environmental impacts lead to the sustainability of natural resources. In this work the technical and economic feasibility of implementing homemade waste utilization techniques in the neighborhood La Estancia is determined. Harnessing these wastes will benefit us in areas such as proper use of water, proper waste management, increasing the useful life of landfills, reducing pollution and food production. The techniques that will be implemented are: 1) vermiculture for the use of organic waste, 2) urban agriculture and vertical gardens, 3) use of graywater in activities of non-potable use. It will also know if the neighborhood community stay use these practices for handling waste, gray water and their interest about these issues. For this reason we want to conduct the pilot study to determine the technical and economic feasibility of implementing home-use practices waste.
