Resumen
The Juan Amarillo wetland is also known as the Tibabuyes wetland, it is one of the most Known for being the largest in Bogotá since it occupies approximately 222.5 hectares, it is located in the towns of Engativá and Suba in Bogotá, this is one of the most visited wetlands for its great variety of species such as the tingua, Bogota owl and the white heron, as well as herons blue and African, siris, chisgas, nuns, bogotanas tinguas, green-billed tinguas among others, apart of that the wetland has the highest environmental certification worldwide and this thanks to the work of biodiversity conservation since they are protected areas of the District, the Juan Amarillo wetland It has an absolute wealth of land, it was a meeting place for the Muisca people, there they met and carried out fishing activities and also agriculture, the wetland has some aquatic plants known as (Enea, totora and papyrus), a species of aquatic plants located on the shores (Barbasco, cartridge, marshmallow and abitilon), on the other hand it is also surrounded by bushes and trees.
