El Rap de Ali a.k.a Mind como herramienta para visibilizar las problemáticas sociopolíticas en Bogotá durante el estallido social del 2021

Abstract

In this bachelor's thesis, the 2021 social upheaval in Colombia is addressed, exploring its causes and consequences, specifically focusing on a group of citizens who played an active role during the protests in Bogotá. Additionally, this group is associated with Hip Hop culture. The analysis delves into some of the lyrics of the Bogotan rapper Ali, a.k.a. Mind. This approach enables a discourse analysis based on the principles of Teun Van – Dijk. Moreover, connections are established with Amartya Sen's capability approach, emphasizing the agency of individuals and their ability to draw upon personal resources for social transformation. This process encourages the development of critical perspectives towards the events and promotes the cultivation of capacities aligned with their values and objectives.
