Resumen
According to different studies of national and international character SMEs are undoubtedly a relevant segment of the world business reality, so it is important to identify those problems that impede their growth, development and competitiveness. This is why the objective of the next prototype of an expert system is to provide a diagnosis or analysis in the functional area of marketing, allowing the identification of the main factors that afflict the SME; All this by developing the knowledge base of the expert system and a first representation of it using the tree diagram which facilitates the typification of the so-called diseases or problems that it presents. Not before doing a previous analysis of the causes that cause it and the symptoms (characteristics that the SME shows allusive to a problem or condition) that presents the same to finally give a possible treatment or solution to this condition.
