Resumen
The electric bass lines, in pop music, have changed since the emerge of session or studio musicians from the jazz fields.
Those musicians came with their own cultural and musical background, inclusive with peculiar physical characteristics, things that made their interpretative ways something unique and singular. They came with music, passion, percussion and some different rhythms about the electric bass interpretation which, when they arrived to pop music, revolutionized more than just the bass scopes.
This work has been developed starting from the research about three bassists, carefully selected, that came from the jazz fields and derivatives. Each one of them has a peculiar, different and unique style, which is easy to perceive in the musical productions they have worked in.
At the venture of the electric bass lines, each one of them has left more than just a simple modification. As it is going to be explained along this study, from the harmony, going through the rhythmic, and finally through the technical resources of the bass lines, these pop music productions, where jazz has come in, has suffered the jazz metamorphosis.
