Resumen
The study objective for this project has focused on metals specifically in the family of alloys, the project has been delimited for the analysis and characterization of Aluminum 6063 T5, for which information has been collected from different sources to develop a study Consistent for the microstructural analysis of the material. 2
After analyzing the mechanical behavior of 6063-T5 aluminum when treated with an aging at 170 ° C at periods of 12,18, 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours, it was concluded that the material improved considerably its tensile strength and After analyzing the study carried out by the group of students of the Technological Institute, it was concluded that if the material improved its mechanical properties its granulometry had to be affected, from this analysis arises the idea of studying in depth the behavior of the microstructure Of aluminum 6063 T-5 but in this case it will be studied if there is any difference between the periods of aging and the formation of these precipitates by evaluating the grain boundaries and if it is possible to observe the formation of Guinner-Preston Zones.
