Resumen
The ecosystems of Bogota have a great ecological richness, and are characterized by presenting an indigenous biodiversity in the territory. The environmental conditions of these ecosystems, allows them to host a great variability of species of fauna and flora, however they also have a high concentration of human population. Environmental awareness aims to generate strategies that allow people and visitors to the territory to appropriate knowledge of biodiversity, promote appropriate practices, and change those habits that generate impacts and do not allow for the sustainable development of the region. As part of the missionary processes of the Botanical Garden of Bogotá José Celestino Mutis, the Cuencas team was supported in the design and implementation of pedagogical strategies, with the aim of strengthening its environmental education programs, with regard to the social appropriation of plant cover. For this reason, we worked from an environmental pedagogy, developing three lines of action: Environmental Participation and Management, Social Appropriation of Plant Coverages, and Center of Interest. These lines were formed in environmental strategies, which allowed a rapprochement of citizens in the recognition, care and appropriation of the green mesh of the territory. In order to meet the objectives set out in this paper, pedagogical processes were carried out involving various community actors, in order to implement strategies that would make the plant coverages known and preserved District. These interventions had a positive impact on the relations of the involved population with these areas of the city, strengthening the identity with the territory and its Main Ecological Structure. Based on the results obtained, a card of the prioritized urban trees of the Tunjuelo and Salitre BasinS was designed, in order to strengthen the different processes of recognition of plant cover proposed by the institution .
