The image contains news about Ordinance 213 of January 26, 1854, establishing the creation of auxiliary police forces in the towns of the province of Bogotá, which will be appointed by the Governor and cannot be forced to serve outside their district. . Each body will be directed by a Chief appointed by the Governor and will have necessary subordinates. These bodies will report to the Mayor of the district and their main objective is to provide support to local authorities to maintain order and peace, pursue criminals and support them in the exercise of their legal functions. Service in these bodies is free for a maximum of two days, and those who exceed this time will receive compensation. Individuals have the right to be armed while serving in these forces.
