Aplicación Para La Detección De Desviaciones De La Columna Vertebral

Abstract

This article details the development of an application which can measure the deviation of the spine by using the orientation sensor of a smartphone to obtain the angle at the point where the measurement is taking place at that time and by mean of a peripheral which is communicated with a Bluetooth module HC-05 to an ultrasound sensor and the smartphone. This peripheral measures the distance of the patient’s spine, cervical zone, dorsal and lumbar area, with an HC-SR04 ultrasound sensor, these data are stored in a user interface made in the App Inventor 2 which stores the data obtained in a database that keeps a history of all the measurements that are done to each patient, this history can be visualized in the same application and if it can be sent via e-mail to the patient and in this way to carry a progress of the treatment that is being done to correct the problem.
