Análisis de la gestión integral del humedal El Burro para la regulación de gases de efecto invernadero

Abstract

This research project focused on analyzing the integrated management of the El Burro wetland in order to understand its capacity to regulate greenhouse gases (GHG). To achieve this, the following objectives were proposed: to evaluate the natural resources of the wetland that contribute significantly to the regulation of these gases, to analyze the existing problems and identify the sources of emissions in the wetland area as well as the resulting impacts on the ecosystem, and finally to propose strategies and measures for the integrated management of the wetland to improve its capacity as a regulator of greenhouse gases. The evaluation of the natural resources of the El Burro wetland was carried out through a detailed analysis of the wetland components that play a relevant role in the absorption, storage and exchange of gases.
