Diseño de la intersección a desnivel de la Autopista Sur con carrera 63

Abstract

This project sets out a proposed a highway geometric design to solve mobility in the signalized intersection of South Freeway with race 63 in Bogota. The vehicular movement at the intersection is slow due to the number of traffic lights and turns that occur within it, both to enter the race 63 or to leave the neighborhood Villa del Rio. Therefore, it is necessary to make a new road geometric design that includes diferents overpasses in this area, to allow continuous movement of vehicles in accordance with the transportation needs devised for the city. Under this, the development of alternative was given out by a preliminary study of the area where the collection of topographic, cartographic and mobility information is included; taking notes about vehicle information when this is moving in this route at rush hour; field visits and photographic record to be clear about the operation of the current geometry; taking notes of information about the speeds in traffic systems; among others, allowing execute the designs in plan, profile and cross sections in AutoCAD Civil 3D software and thus make the modeling of the current condition through the Software VISSIM, and from its expansion, make modeling using the alternative design proposal, and modeling at the end of the period of project design, all with the sole purpose of presenting a reasonable and efficient road proposal to improve traffic flow in this sector of the city.
