Abstract

The Library System of the Francisco José de Caldas District University has been structured with five (5) Faculty Libraries (Technology, ASAB, Engineering Sciences and Education and Nursery) and two (2) Information Units attached to each of these (Macarena B, and Postgraduate) as well as the Ramón D'Luyz Nieto Central Library, located at the Paiba Customs Headquarters, whose Administrative Management is coordinated from the Libraries Section Directorate, are part of this personal System that supports the administrative management and management of information services, facilitating access and retrieval of information and knowledge, through bibliographic collections, books, serials, newspapers, ebooks, and scientific content in electronic formats (databases). At present, the University Libraries are constituted in places that facilitate the autonomous learning process through the integration of various resources and tools, current resources that have been strengthened in the Library System of the District University, which has been transformed during the Project for eleven (11) years in the execution of Project 4150 Endowment Library Update. The evolutions of the University Libraries have allowed the Library System of the District University to support learning with the use of technology as a method of articulation, for teachers, for research, creating new forms of action and knowledge management. The Management report corresponding to the year 2016, gives an account of the progress in the execution of the assigned budget, contains the execution by the Operation Item and Investment Item.
