Propuesta De Diseño Geométrico Vial De Una Intersección En La Avenida Ciudad De Cali Con Calle 72, Bogotá

Abstract

The implementation of an intersection is presented as a proposal for the solution of some of the main vehicular conflicts in the locality of Engativá (Bogotá Colombia), specifically in the area of confluence of the main arteries known as Avenida Ciudad de Cali and Calle 72. The alternative solution is a pre-design and is constituted by a diamond intersection of double divergence (DDI) with overpass of the AV Ciudad de Cali, which was chosen for its geometry, symmetry, use of the current road design, and impact of properties. The project has been made in the academic level in order to present different proposals for the designs that were to be contemplated for the District and the designs that has usually been implemented in the country; also to make a review of the state of the art on this type of intersection, to present a geometric design, and a traffic modeling is made for the proposed intersection. The work was made on a digital topographic base supplied by the Urban Development Institute (IDU), using the decree 364 of August 23, 2013 for classification of the road network, the annex of the road profiles of the decree, and a detailed traffic study that was made by the Mobility Secretary for the years 2014 and 2015, adjusted to the design specifications of the guide for the design of urban roads for Bogotá DC of the Institute of Urban Development and the manual of geometric design of the National Institute of roads.
