Resumen
In the municipalities of Mocoa and Villagarzon (Putumayo), caves of different dimensions have been recorded, which have been used for an incipient tourist use; none of these has been characterized in terms of their quantity, location, size and intensity of use given by the local human community and the chiropterological fauna. This research has been proposed in order to provide inputs for the conservation of these ecosystems and the bats that inhabit them, by studying the diversity of bats in four caves in the municipalities of Mocoa and Villagarzón. The ecosystems were mapped through the Visual Topo program, the richness was estimated through alpha diversity indexes and a rapid local use dissemination guide was generated from the development of ethnozoological strategies. A total of 6 species of bats and 342 captures were registered for the shelters evaluated.
