Resumen
The document is an artistic and research-based project that explores the relationship between memory, family, neighborhood, and time through photography and printmaking. Rooted in family anecdotes lived in San Blas (Bogotá), the author constructs an intimate narrative about how urban growth and everyday dynamics shape collective identity. The project highlights the value of oral storytelling as an emotional, social, and artistic connector, complemented by family photos and personal records that allow the passage of time and environmental transformation to be visualized.
From a visual arts perspective, the author transfers edited photographs onto metal plates using etching and oxidation techniques to metaphorically portray the fading nature of memory. Time is treated as a discursive element that affects both material and memory. The methodology includes interviews, family album collection, and neighborhood documentation. The work is also influenced by cinematic references that focus on everyday life and intimacy, using them to shape the project's visual and conceptual framework. In conclusion, this is a sensitive reflection on how art can serve as a vehicle for both individual and collective memory, turning shared experiences into meaningful visual expressions.
