The image contains a news item presenting the news of the arrival of the new Colombian electric telegraph, which has been a progress that President Murillo has been determined to bring. The president's answer to Mr. Stiles, builder of the Colombian telegraph, is shown, showing his gratitude to him. It is said that the apparatus works marvelously and that by November 10 the telegraph arrived in Facatativá. News published in: (La opinión, November 1, 1865).

La imagen contiene una noticia en la que se presenta la noticia de que llegó el nuevo telégrafo eléctrico colombiano, que este ha sido un progreso por el cual el presidente Murillo se ha empeñado en traer. Se muestra la respuesta del presidente al señor Stiles, constructor del telégrafo colombiano, mostrando agradecimientos hacia él. Se dice que el aparato funciona de maravilla y que para el 10 de noviembre el telégrafo llegó a Facatativá. Noticia publicada en: (La opinión, 1 de noviembre de 1865).
