Propuesta de actualización de la red corporativa basada en SDN para la Facultad Tecnológica de la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas

Abstract

In the following document, a design proposal for the upgrade of the corporate network of the Francisco José de Caldas Technological Faculty through SDN (Software-Defined Networking) will be presented and covers the definition of the network structure and its elements, in addition to the selection of the specialized methodology known as Top-Down for network design. By using this methodology, the analysis and development of the network upgrade proposal is started from a global perspective and then descended to more detailed levels, starting from the collection of requirements with a thorough understanding of the needs and objectives of the organization. From the requirements, the logical design of the network is created that defines the general structure and its connectivity. This includes the identification of SDN controllers, switches, routers and other key components. Based on the designed architecture, the appropriate SDN equipment and technologies are chosen, ensuring that they are compatible and meet the network requirements. An economic proposal is presented with the selection of technologies previously made and finally, tests are performed on the proposed design.
