Resumen
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused considerable damage worldwide in every way, having a safe and effective vaccination contributes to the reduction of the number of cases, hospitalizations and deaths related to COVID-19 infection, as well the gradually restoring of social and economic activities in the country, the region and the world. One of the biggest challenges in the vaccination plan to achieve the distribution of biologics at the national level is the preservation of the cold chain, vaccines can only protect against diseases if they are supplied safely. Overexposure to heat, cold, or light can damage the quality of vaccines. This not only decreases their effectiveness, but also leads to vaccine waste and financial loss. Between spoiled vaccines, replacement costs and administrative overhead, cold chain errors cost medical carriers billions of dollars a year. In fact this Project, an IOT (Internet Of Things) prototype is designed and built which facilitates the automated monitoring of changes in temperature during the distribution of Cov-19 vaccines at the national level, facilitating decision-making and guaranteeing the strict compliance that vaccines require for cold chain cares and in this way ensuring the taking care of vaccines while touring the national territory of Colombia. This IOT prototype, did inform in real time the temperature of the biologicals to guarantee that there are no alterations to the cold chain, it was be programmed through an android-based master device with the help of bluetooth technology in addition to including google services (firebase), to management and inventory of vaccines during the trip.
