Abstract

Auto-Retrato de la cotidianidad is a project of creation and interpretation which aims to figure out everyday life as an experiential space, from a personal reflection. In this space occur a series of events that affect us in different ways, both individually and collectively, turning into a reflection, a portrait of ourselves. For that reason, this project intends to bring us closer to a notion of everyday life by the self-representation mechanism, which here will be called self-portrait, to be able to carry out a visual proposal in which the focus on the everyday is evident, as well as the particular perspective of the author, who has been interested in this subject since the beginning of his training. As a result, in the process of making the large scale painting the author seeks to include his view of daily experience, based on a scene in which the stories of the characters describe how they experience and feel their everyday life, grouping together what happens within and outside the author’s workshop.
