| dc.description | Se describe una nueva especie del género Fageicera (Araneae: Ochyroceratidae) para Colombia, proveniente de los bosques altoandinos del centro del país, específicamente en el Parque Ecológico Matarredonda, ubicado entre los municipios de Choachi, Ubaque y el área rural de Bogotá D.C. Este es el primer registro del género para el área continental, ya que hasta la fecha se encuentra descrita solo para Cuba. Esta familia se caracteriza por ser de tamaños pequeños y hábitos crípticos, pasando fácilmente desapercibidas, por lo cual los estudios en este grupo son incipientes, reflejándose en una distribución actual muy subestimada. | spa |
| dc.description.abstract | A new species of the genus Fageicera (Araneae: Ochyroceratidae) is described for Colombia, the species was found in high Andean forests in the center of the country, specifically in the Matarredonda Ecological Park, located between the Choachi, Ubaque municipalities and the rural area of Bogota D.C. This is the first record of this genus in South American previously known only for Cuba. This family is characterized by being small in size and living in cryptic habitats, easily overlook, our knowledge of this family is rather poor, as shown by the underestimation of its real distribution. | spa |
