Resumen
This article analyzes the representation of women in horror cinema, focusing on three fundamental tropes: Good for Her, the Abject Woman, and the De-Idealized Mother. Through a theoretical review and a comparative film analysis, it explores how the horror genre constructs images that both subvert and reproduce gender stereotypes. The study examines the historical evolution of these tropes and their cultural impact, with the aim of contributing to the discussion on the construction of female identity within the audiovisual sphere.

Este artículo analiza la representación de la mujer en el cine de terror, focalizándose en tres tropos fundamentales: Good for Her, Mujer Abyecta y Madre Desidealizada. A través de una revisión teórica y un análisis fílmico comparativo, se explora cómo el género del terror configura imágenes que simultáneamente subvierten y reproducen estereotipos de género. Se examina la evolución histórica de estos tropos y su impacto cultural, con el objetivo de contribuir a la discusión sobre la construcción de la identidad femenina en el ámbito audiovisual.
