Resumen
The main objective of this research is to analyze the exponents and coefficients associated with hydraulic geometry in the lower Magdalena River basin, to determine whether riverbed texture significantly influences these relationships. Power models were applied at eleven hydrological stations, using observational records of river flow and stage. Using GIS tools in ArcGIS, hydraulic and morphological variables were integrated to spatially contextualize the analysis. The relationships between flow and measurements such as depth, velocity, and width allowed us to identify differential patterns according to riverbed type, which contributes to an understanding of river dynamics in this strategic region of the country, with relevant implications for water resource management and territorial planning.
