Resumen
The project is a deeply introspective exploration aimed at healing emotional wounds through artistic creation. Using personal objects, diaries, typewritten texts, and the metaphor of the pillow as a confidant, the author constructs an autobiographical narrative centered on pain, displacement, loss, and the need for self-forgiveness. Influenced by works such as The Pillow Book and artists like Sophie Calle and Johanna Calle, Muñoz creates a personal visual and textual language in which everyday objects—charged with memory—are transformed into tools of catharsis and self-recognition.
Throughout the text, Muñoz revisits pivotal moments in her life such as eviction from her home, the death of her grandfather, and family tensions that have shaped her identity. These experiences, along with emotionally charged events like visiting the Museum of Trash, trigger a process of emotional confrontation that she channels through writing, drawing, and artistic installations. The project becomes a symbolic act of exorcism, where art serves as a means of healing, personal reconstruction, and empathetic communication with the viewer.
