| dc.description | This article shows a painting study of Colombian Indians that was carried out at the beginning of the 20th century by the bachue intellectual Luis Albereto Acuña –as an attempt to contribute to the construction of a universal culture with the participation of an American modern man, built upon a national Colombian citizenship consciousness– he enrolled in representations of racial Indian inferiority, in virtue of the primitive condition of their visual organ, which consequently would limit the perception of blue and green colors and it would obviously turn visible in the subsequent absence of words to show the difference between these two colors. The dialogue with the expert Isaias Roman on vital dimensions, of the existentialist and epistemic one unit concept for blue-green at Uitoto-Mɨnɨka language, this work is a clear sample of how people build individual and collective subjective representations, and how they are visualized into hegemonic discourse. | en-US |
| dc.description | El estudio sobre la pintura de los indios colombianos realizado, en la primera parte del siglo XX, por el artista e intelectual bachué Luis Alberto Acuña –en su empeño por aportar a la construcción de una cultura universal con participación de un hombre moderno americano, construido sobre parámetros de conciencia de una ciudadanía nacional colombiana–, se inscribió en representaciones de inferioridad racial indígena, en virtud de la condición primitiva de su órgano visual, que limitaría la percepción de los colores azul y verde y se expresaría en la subsecuente ausencia de palabras de diferenciación entre ellos.
