Abstract

The image contains news about a sewer agreement from 1891, which details that the Board of Public Works will be in charge of carrying out the construction and maintenance of sewers in the city. The costs of the works will fall on the owners of the houses located on the streets where the works are carried out. However, an exception is established for people who prove to be poor and whose properties do not have a cadastral value of more than 5,000 pesos. In these cases, the Board will pay for part of the work with municipal funds. The agreement also clarifies that the initial construction of the pavements of the houses is the responsibility of the owners, while their conservation and repair, as well as that of the sewers, corresponds to the Board of Public Works.
