Resumen
Through a strategic alliance between the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, the Forestry Engineering curriculum project, and the Corporación Autónoma Regional de Cundinamarca (CAR), during the last years, undergraduate work has been carried out in different modalities, giving scope to the management of Knowledge, reduction and management of disaster risk as required by law 1523 of 2012; that is why using the data of the forest fire events presented in the municipalities of the CAR jurisdiction between 2010 and 2015, the typologies of incidence and causality were identified through a statistical analysis of multiple variables that describe the incidence in the territory and the causality of each of the events presented; To achieve this, a grouping of study units (municipalities) with similar characteristics was carried out, through a cluster analysis, with which a zoning of that territory was subsequently carried out using geographic information system software that allowed spatial representation the typologies identified, and additionally showed the record of the analyzed values of these eventualities presented by each municipality. In this way, the entity was offered a tool that allows it in the future to decide what type of prevention can be carried out in each municipality and to direct special attention to those areas where the incidence for this eventuality shows greater effects.
