Resumen
The evolution of modern wireless communication systems has dramatically increased the demand for antennas, capable of being embedded in portable devices that are in a land mobile wireless or satellite. Eventually it requires that these devices become smaller in size, therefore the necessary signals to transmit and receive antennas must also be smaller and lighter. Due to its characteristics, the microstrip antennas can meet these requirements. Because they are lightweight, they have a low profile and are feasible to be structured according to the needs of assembly. Furthermore, they are easy to manufacture, have low cost and can be integrated into printed circuit arrays or microwave. This paper proposes a model of microstrip antenna with a circular polarization and single feed transmission line, based on the mathematical model of resonant cavity with modified geometry using orthogonal symmetrical slots, built on FR-4 substrate, whose purpose is to improve the gain and bandwidth in simple and compact structures in an operating frequency of 2.45 GHz.
