Transcripcion y Descripcion de Nueve Solos Improvisados en el Bombardino en Tres Porros Palitiaos del Repertorio de las Bandas Pelayeras.

Abstract

This research work aims to transcribe, describe and analyze the principal musical elements found in improvised solos by the euphonium, in three “porro pelayeros”, played by folk bands within the time frame of the XXII FESTIVAL OF FOLKLORE BANDS OF BARRANCABERMEJA, besides its contextualizes folk bands in the region of Cordoba and Sucre, showing what is its influence in this region and what has been its contribution to the evolution of “porro pelayero” also called " porro palitiao". To conduct this study there were selected five euphonium players, four of them of the best Pelayeras bands in the region, bands that should play live porros, object of this study. They will be taken into account for the analysis three musical factors, melody, rhythm and harmony, the results of the description and analysis will allow to see how the different performers use similar musical elements when improvising, the repetition of rhythmical patterns, the use of scales and arpeggios are evidences in the improvisations.
