En este artículo se presentan los resultados de la investigación que tuvocomo fin sintetizar y caracterizar muestras de LaMn1-xCoxO3 (con 0 ≤ x≤ 0,5). Dichas muestras fueron preparadas por el método de Sol-Gel ycaracterizadas a través de medidas de difracción de rayos X (DRX), deresistividad eléctrica y de susceptibilidad magnéticamente. El análisisde las medidas de DRX reveló una variación de los parámetros de red,aunque todas las muestras presentaron una estructura ortorrómbicaPbnm, con grupo espacial número 62. Dicho análisis también reveló laaparición de tensiones biaxiales, que depende del contenido de Cobaltode las muestras. El análisis de los estudios eléctricos y magnéticos indicóun aumento en la temperatura de Curie (Tc) a medida que aumentabala distorsión de la red cristalina. Este hecho sugiere un incremento deldesdoblamiento Jahn-Teller de los niveles eg, que a su vez incrementala localización de los electrones.
This article presents the results of research that was aimed to synthesizing and characterizing samples of LaMn1-xCox O3 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0,5). Samples were prepared by Sol-Gel method and characterized through X-ray diffractions (XRD), susceptibility, and magnetic measures. XRD measures analysis revealed a variation of lattice parameter, although all samples have an orthorhombic structure with space group Pbnm, number 62. This analysis also revealed increases in the biaxial stress which increasing the cobalt doped. Magnetic and electric measures analysis indicated an increase in the Curie temperature (Tc) with increasing lattice distortion. This fact suggests an increase of splitting Jahn - Teller eg levels, therefore increasing the localization of electrons
