Resumen
This ethnographic case study developed with a qualitative focus, explores the cultural elements contained in the daily practices and the life stories told by colombian peasants who arrived in Bogota as migrants from different rural areas during the historical period of time, called "La Violencia" and it analizes the implications that process had in the construction of the capital's cultural imaginarium. A population's sample of 5 people who are originally from rural areas of Colombia, was taken. The collected data was organized and analized, allowing us to conclude that the urban cultural imaginarium from the peasant sight is built taking the rural cultural imaginarium as reference.. Moreover, it was possible to see that among the inaprehensible elements that constitute the urban cultural imaginariom, the fear about the unsafety in the city, the detachment for the territory and its costumes, as well as the sensation of vulnerability and social isolation in the urban life dinamics. At the sam time that the feeling of nostalgia for the country is evidenced in practises, belifs and linguistic rural expressions that remain lantent in the city were found as a way of peasant cultural attachment.
