Resumen
In the field of education, the incorporation of new technologies is increasingly frequent, which in one way or another contribute to and enrich the entire teaching process. One of the technologies with the greatest growth and use is augmented reality, as it focuses on the search for new options for interaction between people and the digital world. Thus, this technology brings great benefits to education, such as an increase in student motivation and an improvement in the learning experience, through the presentation of attractive and visual content. Taking into account the aspects described above, its application in teaching and especially in the teaching of the English language in countries with few communication skills in this language is of vital importance, since it allows us to cover one of the most important global needs or abilities in current reality. Therefore, this research illustrates the development of an application where augmented reality is implemented for teaching the English language, taking as a target audience children belonging to second childhood, a population with greater ease for the acquisition and development of knowledge, since it is at the ages between 7 and 12 years where children are in the propositional / conceptual phase of their learning.
