Resumen
This work, titled "Experience, Body, and Clay," explores the relationship between sensory experience, the body, and the material of clay. Through meaningful encounters, the author investigates how clay can evoke memories, emotions, and sensations. The work examines the importance of touch and how the experience of working with clay, often blindfolded, can sharpen the senses and allow for a deeper connection with the material. The author also reflects on the nature of experience itself, contrasting it with modern rationality and highlighting its irrational and unpredictable character.
The work also addresses the origin of clay and its cultural and historical significance. It examines myths and legends that link clay to the creation of life, as well as ancestral practices of different cultures in relation to this material. The author shares personal experiences and workshops conducted with various people, seeking to communicate the possibility of establishing an affective dialogue between the earth and people. Finally, the conclusions of the project are presented, highlighting the importance of sensory exploration, memory, and creativity in artistic practice.
