| dc.description | From its beginning, modern art has become a cultural expression widely theorised by critics and specialists. In most of these reflections there has been an imposition of an idea that centres its virtues in the suppos- edly "possession" of a certain autonomy related to the cultural field. Nonetheless, and in spite of the attempts to understand modern art as a symbolic process unattached from its immediate social context, the same intellectuals who supported that idea are the ones who finally yielded it to a high degree of moralisation, conceiving it as a vehicle of cultural redemption. | en-US |
| dc.description | Desde su aparición, el arte moderno ha sido una manifestación cultural ampliamente teorizada por críticos y especialistas contemporáneos. En la mayor parte de estas reflexiones que acompañaron a la aparición de este tipo de producción artística, se ha impuesto una idea que radica sus virtudes en la supuesta "posesión" de cierta autonomía relativa en el campo cultural. Sin embargo, y a pesar de los intentos por comprenderlo como un proceso simbólico desligado de su contexto social inmediato, han sido los mismos pensadores que lo apoyaron quienes terminaron sometiéndolo a un fuerte grado de moralización, al concebirlo como un vehículo de redención cultural. | es-ES |
