Resumen
This paperwork is made around the need of having continuous control and follow-up with tire collectors in the Capital District and the tire accumulation points that are continuously generated in it. This is to avoid environmental damage due to the inadequate disposal of this waste. The District Environment Secretary (SDA) is responsible for ensuring the activities of final disposal of used tires is done considering the current legal regulations. For the implementation of control and monitoring activities by the SDA, annual agreements are generated with different Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Its purpose is to allow students from different areas to support this management and acquire knowledge about this type of problem, the solutions that have been planned by the institution, and to allow these students to apply the knowledge acquired during their training process. That is why, as a tenth-semester student of Environmental Engineering at the Francisco José de Caldas District University, which currently has an agreement with the SDA, I was allowed to do my professional internship at the SCASP. Three methodological phases are proposed to execute the internship (Phase I. Information collection and synthesis, Phase II. Verification and compliance, Phase III. Report generation), where specific activities are contemplated to comply with the objectives set out in this document.During the development of this degree work, we recognized new points of used tire accumulation in the jurisdiction of the SDA. We also supported the visits made by the SDA to tire collectors in the Capital District, to obtain information that allows control of these establishments and generate the reports of each of the centers visited that collect tires in the formats established for such purposes by the SDA.
