Resumen
This project shows the analysis and digitization by layers of three (3) cartographic maps of the Cartagena and Santa Marta area made in 1809 by José Manuel Restrepo cartographer, politician and historian of Colombia in collaboration with Francisco José de Caldas, a scientist, Neogranadino engineer, military, geographer, botanist, astronomer, naturalist and journalist demonstrating his great contribution to cartography in South America. The historical value of the cartographies, documents that are used during the process and that are attached at the end of it, were taken into account, designing a digitization plan and layered analysis, without altering the original source provided by the National Library of Colombia who it preserves the historical, geographic and cartographic value.
