This image contains news about great enthusiasm and commitment, of the members of the commission commissioned by the government of the department and the central society of Saint Vincent de Paul to organize the teachings and monitor the city panopticon, have begun their tasks with the aim of reporting on the progress of this important work. The commission, made up of distinguished members such as Alejandro Osorio, Enrique Melo, Miguel Vargas, José Tamayo, Luis Martínez, Marceliano Vargas and Leísima, has been installed with all the necessary formalities and has appointed Eduardo Cerda as head of workshops, with the approval of the department's government. In accordance with the established bases and with the approval of the authorities, the religious school has been inaugurated in the panopticon, with daily classes from 6 to 9 in the morning, aimed at the different groups of detainees. This initiative has the support of the catechist section of the Society of Saint Vincent, which is responsible for religious instruction, conferences, spiritual retreats and the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Soon, a second higher class on religion and sacred history will be opened, aimed at those detainees who have prior knowledge on the subject, with the aim of providing them with more advanced training. The commitment and dedication of this commission promise a promising future for the teachings in the city's panopticon.
