Formulación de medidas de compensación por afectación de ecosistemas generada por la central hidroeléctrica Urrá I en el Parque Nacional Natural Paramillo (PNNP) - Departamento de Córdoba

Abstract

The purpose of this study is centered around the PNN Paramillo, located in the departments of Córdoba and Antioquia in the basins of the rivers Sinu, San Jorge, Cauca and Atrato, having the highest percentage of territory on the basins of the Sinu and San Jorge . Currently the park demands the formulation of compensation measures that will remunerate the loss of biodiversity in their ecosystems caused by the flood of 417.18 hectares during filling of the dam Urra I. Also the compensation for loss of biodiversity must be evaluated, which was motivated by the change on the conservationist land that were motivated by Urra I and II hydroelectric megaprojects, for which in its preparatory phases roads, camps were built, and socioeconomic information (Census of population, socioeconomic studies, rose etc .) was collected; as previously noted, it generated employment expectations causing a phenomenon of colonization, which was locating around the newly opened roads, and on those grounds where it was assumed that the two reservoirs of hydroelectric power stations would be built. Due to these impacts, it decreased abundance of endemic species causing that some species are now critically endangered.
