Resumen
There are currently different metal electrodeposition techniques, each with the main function of protecting the material of interest from phenomena such as corrosion and abrasion, also for the aesthetic improvement of said material. Within these techniques, aluminum anodizing is considered as one of the main coating processes by chemical conversion of aluminum alloys, significantly improving mechanical properties, avoiding wear, abrasion and providing excellent corrosion resistance. For these reasons, this process has been taking great importance in the industry where it is carried out, either as an end product or as a wide variety of specific material applications. Taking into account the above, this project aims to establish optimal standards of concentration and time of the bathrooms that make up the stages of the anodizing process implemented by the company Allegion Colombia S.A.S. To meet this objective, an in-depth study was carried out on the temperature and time of immersion of the material in each of the baths that make up the anodizing process, evaluating the concentration of sulfuric and phosphoric acid present in the chemical brightener and the concentration of ferric oxalate in the dyeing bath, implementing acid-base and complexometric titrations. With which, it was possible to stipulate time and concentration ranges for the different stages of anodizing, through which the aluminum parts manufactured by the company Allegion Colombia SAS pass, in addition to this, it was possible to know in depth the different electrolytic processes used company. Based on the above, it was possible to conclude that, establishing the standards for these parameters favors the optimization of the anodizing process in each of its stages, depending on the type of piece.
