This project aims to identify the technical and financial viability of cashew cultivation (Anacardium occidentale L.) on the Laura Esperanza property, located in the municipality of Cumaribo, Vichada. To identify the viability of the crop, it is necessary to carry out a study of the art of the species to identify the background of the crop at the national level and the behavior of the species in terms of its phenology, taxonomy, nutritional requirements, dendrological characters, fruit production and uses. of the species. The cashew is a promising forest species that has a commercial value due to the commercialization of the nut and products derived from the fruit such as jams, juices, among others, due to the high content of essential oils that the nut has, it generates great interest. nationally and internationally. To identify the viability of the species in the territory, the land evaluation methodology will be used with the objective of considering all the aspects that influence a territory such as economic, social, technical and environmental aspects for the evaluation of the introduction of a species. in the zone.
