Resumen
The construction sector has changed during the last decades, the traditional construction methods are being updated according to the investigations of the materials that make the constructions safer, these parameters are reflected in the update taking into account the Regulation Colombian of Earthquake Resistant Construction (NSR-10) In the case of structural steel systems, design guidelines must be carried out effectively to comply with construction schedules, which requires suitable personnel for this type of construction and have a real and reliable budget for its development, the NSR- 10, contains the effective parameters for the design and construction of steel structures according to title F, which infringed an effective and reliable construction according to the type of construction. This degree project takes into account the steel construction system to determine the behavior of a symmetrical 30-story building located in the city of Bogotá DC in the town of Usaquén, taking into account the material, profile to be used and design, additionally it is makes a comparison of the building by implementing viscous fluid dissipators to control the seismic response, taking into account the variables involved in its development such as the type of soil, level of seismic threat, design spectrum, structural system, irregularities, among others. , according to the guidelines of the Colombian NSR-10 regulation and the model developed in the ETABS v18 program (student version), to determine the design of the heatsinks, the ASCE 7-10, Fema 273 regulations, among others, are taken into account, and for its operating characteristics take into account the seismic records of the PEER Ground Motion Database and its query criteria.
Finally, it is concluded that the dissipators reduce the displacements of the mezzanine according to the arrangement used for this purpose and the distortion objective, for this study a diagonal arrangement was implemented on all floors which generates additional costs in the construction of the significant building .
