Resumen
This text focuses on the need to deepen or take to another level the 5S methodology within companies that have already implemented, leveraging the steps of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), in order to achieve greater maturity and effectiveness in its application. Despite the benefits that both methodologies can offer, it has been observed that 5S implementation often lacks the necessary depth, limiting its impact on continuous improvement. An approach is proposed that goes from the macro to the specific, establishing connections between 5S and TPM steps in various lines and processes. To illustrate this research, a company of the Nutresa group that has been using these methodologies for ten years will be taken as a base. Through a detailed analysis of its current implementation, areas for improvement will be identified and strategies will be proposed that allow a more effective integration of 5S with TPM. The relevance of this study lies in increasing the participation of the operators with practical exercises of easy understanding that help to develop a more critical eye, generating better working conditions and habits in people, additional a culture of continuous improvement, providing a practical model that can be replicated in other organizations in the sector.
