The image presents a news item about: "VISITATION DILIGENCE." Practiced in the Office of the Treasury of the Board of Public Works. In Bogotá, on May 23, 1900, the Mayor of the city, accompanied by his Secretary, appeared at the Office of the Public Works Treasury for the purpose of presenting a visit to the aforementioned Office. The Treasurer stated that of the Office documents, vouchers for book accounts, stubs, plates, etc, etc, corresponding to the Reclamation and the Treasury, only a note from the Treasurer was saved from the fire that occurred on the night of the twentieth, the existence in the box, the receipts of money delivered to the Municipal Engineer for payment of material and workers during the elapsed months and the accounts paid in the Office, such as employee salaries and Collector's fees, for being inside the iron box which was the only thing that was taken out of the Office.
