Abstract

This image contains news about articles 12 and 13 of an agreement concluded with the Holy See that requires the Government of the Republic to organize and direct education and teaching in accordance with the dogmas and morals of the Catholic Religion. The need to make religious teaching compulsory in universities, colleges and schools, and to observe the practices of piety in these places, is mentioned. Furthermore, Ecclesiastical Ordinaries have the right to inspect and revise texts regarding religion and morals, as well as to designate the texts of these teachings. The author mentions the correct provisions issued by the Ministry to establish religious teaching as a necessary and fundamental principle of official instruction.
