Abstract

This report examines the graduate factor within the context of the Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education at the Francisco José de Caldas District University, focusing on the transition of university students to the workforce. The impact of academic training and practical experience on the professional development of graduates is analyzed, as well as their integration into the educational sector. Through a detailed study, the skills and competencies acquired during the degree are explored, highlighting those that are most relevant for successful performance in the field of Early Childhood Pedagogy. In addition, it investigates how professional practices and research projects carried out during the Bachelor's degree influence the preparation of graduates to face the challenges of the labor field. The factors that affect the employability of graduates are also analyzed, including labor market demands, professional development opportunities, individual competencies and/or abilities, and feedback from employers and graduates. Areas of strength and opportunities for improvement in the academic program are identified, with the aim of optimizing the preparation of students for their successful and constantly growing job placement. In addition to this, different strategies are proposed and carried out (Blog, interactive videos, forums, web pages, use of social networks, flayers, etc.) in support of one of the weaknesses within the LEI: the interaction between graduates, university students, administrators, professors and the academic community in general, seeking to generate spaces for dialogue, construction and university feedback, thus promoting comprehensiveness and support from different spaces and roles. In summary, this report offers a comprehensive vision of the graduate factor in the Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Pedagogy, highlighting the importance of solid academic training, relevant practical experiences and a close connection with the demands of the educational sector to guarantee the professional success of graduates.
