| dc.description | El manejo del árbol urbano en la ciudad de Bogotá ha cobrado especial importancia debido a su impacto en el proceso de renoyación urbana del Distrito Capital y porque es una fuente de alto riesgo debido al preocupante estado físico y sanitario de muchos de sus individuos, causantes de los muchos y frecuentes accidentes por caída de ramas y por el volcamiento total de sus estructuras. Desde 1998 Bogotá ha establecido un orden institucional, jurídico y técnico con el fin de efectuar un manejo adecuado de la cobertura arbórea urbana y garantizar de esta manera su persistencia en condiciones adecuadas que permitan su convivencia con la infraestructura urbana. Este documento presenta los pormenores que han permitido dicha organización, repasa las estadísticas que ha producido el manejo del tema silvicultural en la ciudad y establece un nuevo punto de partida para su gestión, afincada en la elaboración del inventario forestal como herramienta de planificación. | es-ES |

Since 1998 Bogotá's city. has established and institutional, law and technical organization to make a fit management tree cover and to ensure its persistence in adequate conditions in order to living together with the urban infrastructure.
