The work shows, the technical support provided to the group CIAF, Remote Sensing during the practices in Institute Geographic Agustín Codazzi - IGAC, in the implementation of technical assistance project to CORPOICA in remote sensing, spatial analysis and modeling, of Cauca department for three priority municipalities: El Tambo, Patía (El Bordo) and Mercaderes; about threat of drought on a scale of 1:100,000 and the dynamic expansion and contraction of water bodies to scale 1:25,000, by the digital image processing of remote sensing and using spectral indices. In addition the analysis of the information obtained is supplemented, with a Multitemporal Study, from 1990 to 2014, by Landsat Satellite Images, to evaluate soil cover; and finally, maps is performed, scale 1:100.000, suggesting forest species to be implemented in the areas affected by drought, according to the characteristics of: relief, slope, climate, geology, coverage, soil, capacity and uses of soil, for each of the aforementioned municipalities of Cauca.
