Abstract

This text reflects on the intersection between art and everyday life, highlighting how the studio becomes a space of exploration where the boundaries between home and artistic creation blur. During the global pandemic of 2019-2020, this fusion intensified, bringing artistic practice into the domestic sphere. The home, more than just a place of residence, transforms into a matrix of personal experiences, family interaction, and creative experimentation, where printmaking becomes a medium to narrate this convergence. The text also examines how the precariousness imposed by the pandemic sparked a reflection on the traditional concept of the studio, emphasizing how the use of unconventional materials and tools expands creative possibilities. In this process, domestic spaces like the kitchen turn into creative laboratories, and the home environment actively participates in the artistic process. The house, seen as a three-dimensional box, reflects the duality between what is externally visible and the richness inside, just as boxes contain objects and promises that are revealed upon being opened. The studio, like the box, is a dynamic space that combines meticulous planning and improvisation, where ideas and artworks find temporary shelter. Both are spaces of transformation, capable of changing their content and purpose. The text underscores how spaces mediate human experience, highlighting the magic that emerges when the boundaries of creativity are explored within the everyday environment.
