Resumen
This thesis proposes a reflection around the resistance of the woman in the music, based on the case of Colombian singer Andrea Echeverri. In the first part of this text, this subject is first approached through the exploration of concepts such as gender, feminism, feminism and resistance, considering, in some cases, the historical evolution; in others, the lexical semantic content or the social significations associated with these concepts. Andrea Echeverri is a perfect example of resistance in art, because, as a singer-songwriter, she shows throughout her catalogue her critical stance and constant questioning about the role that women play in society, family and art. In the second part of this document, four songs sung by Andrea Echeverri, solo or with Aterciopelados group, are analyzed to get a glimpse on how the music reflects the critical sense and resistance of this Singer, against the women stereotypes that our society has. This work aims to be an open question about what it means to be a woman in this society and at this moment in history, and how to be an active part in the construction of society in general, and its artistic products in particular.
