Resumen
The management of occupational health and safety within companies, aims to provide an adequate and safe work environment to minimize accidents and possible occupational diseases. The Occupational Health and Safety Management System has become a strategy to reduce production costs, optimize processes, minimize work absenteeism and provide a safe work environment. The proposal was developed in the city of Bogotá, in the Institution of Health Services Provider of external consultation specialized in ophthalmology Alta Vision SAS., Which has 30 employees among operative, assistance and administrative personnel. The initial evaluation was carried out in the first place, whose main objective was to carry out an internal diagnosis where the conditions in which the Occupational Health and Safety System of High Vision SAS was found were verified. Later, a plan was established of improvement that sought the fulfillment of the minimum standards established in the Colombian legislation, at the same time we worked with the support of the management to provide a safe working environment for the officials of the institution. Through visits to the institution, data on the initial status of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System were collected, these visits included the application of checklists, direct observation of the processes and conditions of the posts of work and recognition of the policies established by management. After the analysis it was verified that Alta Visión did not fully comply with the minimum standards required by Resolution 1111 of 2017, therefore a work plan was established with the objective of achieving a higher level of compliance with them, this work plan It included the design of procedures, plans, instructions, matrices and formats necessary for the proper functioning of the Occupational Health and Safety System. This allowed the current Occupational Health and Safety Management System to be developed based on specific conditions of the institution, making it an efficient tool for periodic control and evaluation that will contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality of life of its workers.
